On April 21, 2021, PSA announced its acquisition of Genamint. PSA described Genamint’s technology as capable of real-time card analysis, diagnostics, measurements, alteration detection and unique card identification in support of human graders.
The announcement is relevant to the broader history of card recognition because it documents the movement of machine-assisted analysis into PSA’s stated grading direction by 2021.
It does not establish that Genamint, PSA AI or any other specific machine-vision system examined or misidentified any particular Unicorn Card. The archive makes no such claim without direct evidence connecting the technology to a specific holder.
